ABSTRACT The article explores the sharing and reuse of objective and verifiable information in the digitized public
administration. The Danish principle of administrative law by design is being introduced. This principle may ensure a
greater interaction between national administrative law and EU law, especially the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR), and be a possible pathway for avoiding mistrust in public IT systems.
